A Structured Outsourcing Model Built for Professional Firms
White-label accounting and tax preparation support with defined scope, documented quality checks and clearly allocated responsibilities.
A. Defined scope and responsibilities
Written down before work starts
Every engagement specifies the items below. MyTaxLedger provides preparation and operational support within the agreed scope. The client or appropriately authorised professional retains the responsibilities allocated to them under applicable law and the engagement agreement.
- Services included
- Services excluded
- Required source documents
- Workpaper formats
- Deliverables
- Turnaround times
- Review and approval responsibilities
- Filing and signing responsibilities
- Escalation procedures
B. Quality-control framework
Five stages from intake to delivery
This is our intended operating framework. The exact controls applied are confirmed in each engagement agreement.
Stage 1: Document Intake
- Receive documents through the agreed secure channel.
- Check completeness.
- Identify missing records.
Stage 2: Preparation
- Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, computations, or other agreed work.
- Use approved templates and documented procedures.
Stage 3: Internal Checks
- Review reconciliations.
- Check calculations and supporting schedules.
- Identify inconsistencies and unresolved items.
Stage 4: Exception Resolution
- Maintain a list of discrepancies.
- Request clarification when needed.
- Record adjustments and their rationale.
Stage 5: Delivery
- Deliver the agreed workpapers and reports.
- Highlight open items and limitations.
- Submit the work for the client’s review.
C. Confidentiality and data security
Addressed through engagement-specific procedures
Confidentiality and access controls are set out for each engagement rather than assumed. The points below describe what we agree with clients.
- Confidentiality and NDA arrangements
- Role-based access where supported
- Secure document transfer
- Restricted access to client records
- Appropriate device and account controls
- Agreed data-retention periods
- Data deletion and offboarding procedures
- Incident escalation
- Client authorisation and access revocation
D. Software compatibility
The platforms we genuinely support
The team works within the platforms and workflows it supports, and tells you plainly when a platform is outside that list. We do not claim universal compatibility.
Commonly used
- QuickBooks Online
- Xero
- Drake Tax
- Intuit ProConnect Tax
- Sage Intacct

E. Pilot engagements
Start Small. Evaluate the Process. Scale with Confidence.
Prospective clients may begin with a clearly scoped pilot assignment. The aim is to let you evaluate workpaper quality, communication, turnaround and process fit before establishing a recurring engagement.
Commercial terms for a pilot are agreed in advance. We do not promise free work.
A pilot defines
- The period and transaction volume
- The services to be performed
- The expected deliverables
- The deadline
- The review criteria
- The agreed commercial terms
- The data-access arrangements
