Selecting an offshore partner is a trust decision as much as a cost decision. These questions help separate dependable partners from risky ones.
Questions worth asking
Who reviews the work before it reaches me, and what are their qualifications? How is client data stored, shared and deleted? What is the turnaround commitment, and how are urgent files handled? Will you sign an NDA and a service agreement? Which software do you work in? How do you handle errors, and how do you report them? Can I start with a pilot? Who is my single point of contact?
Red flags
Be cautious of partners who cannot describe their review process, who promise unrealistic turnaround, or who are unwilling to formalise confidentiality terms.
Fit matters
The best partner is one whose working style fits yours: responsive, documented and willing to adapt to your templates and standards.
